Farm fresh eggs are available for purchase. 
Our laying flock has a variety of breeds so we have all colors of egg shells.  The Araucauna/americanas lay a tinted green to blue shelled egg.  Old World chickens lay brown shelled eggs.   The New World Chickens lay the usual white colored shell. A new breed we are trying in 2008 is the Cuckoo Maran which is supposed to lay a very dark brown nearly chocolate colored shell.  Of course, the eggs are all the same on the inside. Just yummier and much richer yellow color than store brought eggs because of the extra sunshine and range activity our chickens are exposed to.
